It was on May 3rd in 1980 that the first Kinetic race took place. AND, it started with a pancake breakfast and inspection of the entries right here in Cottonwood Square!!! I presume the breakfast was headed by Tony of El Castillo restaurant because there were no other restaurants who did events like that in those years. . This souvenir program was discovered in one of the three boxes of donations from Cliff Tharp who was one of the early volunteer fire fighters in Niwot.
