– Our timeline book to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Niwot’s platting in 1875 is coming together. Must of the events have been gathered for these years of development and growth in our history and soon it will be transferred from the Word file to laying it out and formatting page-by-page in preparation for it to go to print. Exciting, stressful, and quite a learning experience.
– we will host another lecture this fall with Larry Dorsey presenting a “train” presentation and that date is not yet confirmed.
Our little community is busy with events so please support the activities and meet up with your neighbors while meeting new folks.
– National Night Out is Monday, August 6th, and you can enjoy an couple hours with our first responders and view their equipment, enjoy a free dinner while listening to a concert by our Niwot Community Semi-Marching Free Grange Band, ride your bike and get a quick checkup at the Wheel Works booth, see the emergency equipment and talk to the staff. This event is sponsored by our Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and locally by the Niwot Community Association.
– upcoming are outstanding annual events like the Flower Fest on the 10th from 10-4 and the House Blend Band concert in the evening starting at 6pm
– in September the annual Honey Bee Harvest is on the 7th and the final House Blend Band concert is on the 14th.
