Hi! It is fall, but day temperatures are still good for my tomatoes and basil. Raking up crabapples has become a chore this year … for the past several years I have enjoyed watching six buck and/or a family of four clean up the apples and “prune” the trees while reaching crabapples still on the branches. I have not seen any of the visiting deer since a new neighbor moved in with three large dogs.
October brings the 5th lecture of the Lecture Series in 2023. It is The Haunted West with some stories of hauntings in some ghost towns in the western states. The lecture is October 25th.
Following the Wednesday lecture is Niwot’s Great Pumpkin Party on Saturday! The Fire House Museum will be open from 10am to Noon and we would welcome some volunteers to hand out treats!
Today is September 27, 2023 and the photo in the Fire House Museum of the St Vrain Valley and Boulder area pioneers is a century old today !!!
