“Notes from the Beeyard” was a weekly column written by Tom Theobald of Niwot, in the The Old Recorder newspaper starting in the mid 1980’s. The image shown is dated Feb. 23, 1989. Most of the 35 issues in this collection are from 1989, with four from 1990, and one from 1994. Tom and his wife moved to Niwot in 1970. After working at IBM he became a beekeeper. He devoted himself to mastering the craft of keeping honeybees and producing premium raw honey through his Niwot Honey Farm. He was a founding member of the Boulder County Beekeepers’ Association.
