Niwot Schoolhouse

The front of this old home was the first Niwot schoolhouse and stood on the farm later owned by Dick Knaus. A new school was built across the road on the Burch place, and the old building was bought for $400 by H.H. Hornbaker for the first United Brethren Church (now United Methodist.) Eva Spangler wrote on the original photo, “I became a member in 1918.”
